2nd Chapter – Travel Through Portals

After a few seconds of shock, Candy finally blinked her eyes to focus on the contents of the package. Inside there was a gold pocket watch that was closed. It was wrapped in plastic and around it there was a styrofoam chamber to ensure that the watch wouldn't break because of its fragility.
Candy sat on her bed and unwrapped the clock. "It couldn't be possible..." Soon, she had it in her hands. She analyzed the texture with her fingers. It seemed to be new and smooth, with a tough appearance despite the small parts. She then found an opening. If it was the same as she had dreamed, the watch would open in two. That's what happened. The glow that emitted lit her scared looking face.
The watch display was white with Roman numerals like you'd find on old clocks. In addition, it was as punctual as the digital clock on Candy's shelf. Do they still make things so old? Maybe for the noble ones, but why would she get something that looked so expensive? She had no idea who might have sent her this, but this clock reminded her vividly of the one in her dream.
She just sat there looking at the details for a while until she realized that there was a small sheet of parchment in the wrapper. She picked it up and noticed that there were words written on parchment in beautiful handwriting: "I hadn't the privilege of discovering how these clocks work, but I'm sure you will find out how." After reading this, her expression began to look a little terrified. Whoever sent it to her thought that she must have been someone who could do something that this noble and antiquated person had failed to achieve. Why would Candy be so special? "No, no... This thought of being special is just my head being silly", she thought. But at the same time she didn't want to waste this magic chance that had just appeared in front of her.
The fight between yes and no in her mind took minutes until she found herself grasping the watch, a fearless expression on her face, and she did what she really wanted to. As she had done in the dream, she found the pin and began to turn the hands two hours late. After that, still a little insecure, she closed her eyes tightly and waited a moment. When she opened them again, she hit the pin carefully and it made a clicking noise.
Nothing seemed to happen. Candy looked around, panting, but before she could think, a force began to pull her head to the left and at the same time, her legs to the right very hard. But she remained standing. The image of her room was quickly sucked away by the force and she found herself in a place where there were lights, shadows, circles and lines; things so confusing that our minds could hardly absorb them without enough time.
Suddenly the sensation stopped and she finally blinked her eyes open, finding herself in a place completely empty and white. There was fog everywhere, and through it, she could see the train ahead, in the middle of nowhere.
Finally I submitted the second chapter of Sunrise!!
Thank you so much for the support of who are reading this, you make me wanna write more and more!!

This time I had a big help from my friend :iconitsannee: with the English grammar. She's amazingggggg ;U; And now the text looks more rich o3o

The image is from when Candy is traveling through the portals.

Oh, and I did it shorter because some people told me that the first chapter was too long ;u; It's okay! Now it's shorter and easier to read!

I hope you enjoy it! I loved writing this C:
